Barcelona's failure in the Champions League...a coach crisis or players' responsibility

If Barcelona fans were asked to vote for Valverde to stay ahead of Tuesday's Champions League match, 'Yes' could have won a small advantage. But now things are different and the #ValverdeLeave campaign may be launched after this disaster. In Barcelona now, the new coach is required to achieve good performances locally and in Europe, and in order to ensure the satisfaction of the fans, he must win the Champions League.

It is very difficult to find an explanation for what happened yesterday. In a description of Barcelona's performance without analysis and scrutiny, it can be considered a conspiracy by the players on Valverde, who was one step away from reaching the final and possibly crowning the treble although he did not change or add anything to the team.

How can a coach like Valverde have the honor of reaching such stages when he is not even good at hiring his players? In the end, players are human beings. It is natural for them to lose focus or motivation, and here comes the role of the coach in motivating the players and persuading them to fight and bring out everything they have as one team.

The best example is Klopp, who gives a lesson in how to build a team and that the star may give you victories and championships for several years, but not for permanent years.

The strange thing is that Liverpool did not create dangerous opportunities like the ones he created in the first leg, and not all the elements were ready. But he was more cunning and more ready to take advantage of Barcelona's situation.

But player 12 was present and strong. Liverpool fans really don't let their team walk alone and never know the meaning of giving up. Barcelona's strength was always with high pressure and forcing the opponent to stand behind, but with Valverde, Barcelona became the one who blows the opponents and returns to the back and waits for the counterattacks that he did not train out of.

Messi's magic is no longer shaded and will not shade the team forever, and brilliance locally has become a given, but European self-prove is what should be the goal after today for a team like Barcelona. To achieve a goal of this magnitude, the first thing to think about is a coach, or rather, the team-maker.

Everyone remembers the controversy caused by the extension of Valverde's contract for an additional season, under the pretext of giving confidence and stability to the team. Even the team immediately after the announcement did not perform well and lost some easy points, and here is the scene repeated. In the sense that the message of the players has become clear, look for us for a new coach.

Valverde as a coach did not dream of titles, and it turns out that Valverde was the one who looked for Barcelona and not the other way around. The successive double for Valverde is an achievement and for the fans a failure. This is one of the things that makes Barcelona more than just a club.
